Text Case in Domain Names and Emails: Does It Matter?
Domain names are case-insensitive by RFC. Example.com and example.com resolve to the same server.
Email local parts (the bit before the @) are case-sensitive per the RFC — but essentially every mail provider treats them case-insensitively in practice. Still, when storing addresses in a database, lowercase before saving to avoid duplicates.
