Title Case vs. Sentence Case: Which Should You Use?

Title Case capitalizes the first letter of every significant word ("The Quick Brown Fox"). Sentence case only capitalizes the first word and proper nouns ("The quick brown fox").

Most modern publications and product teams prefer Sentence case for body copy and UI strings because it feels more natural. Title Case is still common in headlines and editorial contexts.

A good rule: if you can read it aloud and it sounds like a sentence, use sentence case. If it's a proper title or headline, Title Case is fine.
