Common questions

Is my text stored or uploaded?

No. The conversions run as JavaScript in your browser, so your text isn't sent to our server or saved. Share link is the one feature that puts your text into something you send, and even then it stays out of our analytics.

What's the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes the main words of a title: "How to Write a Headline". Sentence case capitalizes only the first word and names: "How to write a headline". Most apps and many websites use sentence case; titles of books, films and articles often use title case.

How do I convert text to camelCase or snake_case?

Paste your text, open the Developer tab and choose camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case or CONSTANT_CASE. Spaces, hyphens and punctuation become word breaks, and existing camelCase is split where the capitals are.

Will it mess up acronyms and brand names?

Title Case and Sentence case keep short acronyms like NASA and names with capitals inside like iPhone as you typed them. They can't tell names apart in text that's entirely in capitals, so check names afterwards.

Can I convert a whole file?

Yes, for plain text. Drop a .txt file onto the box or use the upload button, convert it, then download the result as a .txt file.

Does it work with other languages?

Yes. The site is available in 13 languages, and the conversions handle accented letters, Cyrillic, Greek and other alphabets with capital letters. Chinese, Japanese and Korean have no letter case, so case styles leave them unchanged.
